Who are Mackenzie Maughan Ltd?
	A small recruitment company, specialising in the recruitment of permanent and contract IT staff.
	Who owns it?
	The two owner/directors are Brenda Maughan and Geoff Mackenzie.
	How long has it been going?
	Mackenzie Maughan Ltd started trading in January 2000, but both Brenda and Geoff have more than 25 years experience in IT recruitment.
	Who with?
	Brenda was with Abraxas for many years; later with Dalroth and MHC.  Geoff started with Computer Appointments, then after several years with the P-E Consulting Group also worked for Dalroth.  Geoff has also carried out assignments as a freelance internal recruiter for a number of companies.
	Do you specialise in any particular area?
	IT across the board, from PC installation engineers to programme managers in investment banking.
	How do you handle IR35?
	With difficulty!  IR35 is too new for any hard and fast rules.  Some of our contractors use umbrella companies who claim to be able to get around the problem; some use their accountants; some just bite the bullet and pay up.  See our links to the most authoritative web sites.

	We guarantee payment within 28 days of invoice.
	Do you handle overseas appointments?
	Yes.  Mackenzie Maughan has very recently placed both permanent and contract staff in Switzerland, Italy, France and Germany;  Geoff and Brenda have also placed people in Venezuela, Nigeria, Brunei, Thailand, Viet Nam, Australia, USA, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman… and once in Timbuktu!
